广西开放大学由自治区人民政府举办，以促进终身学习为使命、以现代信息技术为支撑、以“互联网+”为特征，面向全民提供终身教育及服务，促进“人人皆学、处处能学、时时可学”的新型高等学校，前身是于1979年创办的广西广播电视大学，2020年12月更名为广西开放大学。2021年3月获批设立广西信息职业技术学院，学院由自治区人民政府主办，委托广西开放大学建设和管理。

Guangxi Open University, founded by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a new type of higher education institution. With modern information technology and “Internet Plus” model, it provides lifelong education and services to all citizens, fostering a learning environment where “everyone can learn, everywhere can be a classroom, and every moment can be a learning opportunity.” Formerly the Central Radio & Television University, founded in 1979, it was renamed Guangxi Open University in 2020. In March 2021, it obtained approval to establish Guangxi University of Information Engineering (GUIE). Sponsored by People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi University of Information Engineering is entrusted to Guangxi Open University for construction and management.

广西开放大学实行体系办学、分级管理的办学体制，接受国家开放大学的业务指导，承担对全区市级开放大学、县级开放大学（学习中心）的教学业务指导。获批成立国家老年大学广西分部、广西老年开放大学、广西社区教育发展研究中心、国家数字化学习资源中心广西中心、广西现代远程教育研究中心、广西新型职业农民综合培育基地、广西专业技术人员继续教育基地、广西生态移民劳动力培训基地、广西教师教育基地、广西财政厅会计资格培训与考试基地、自治区级职业技能鉴定所、退役军人教育学院、南宁市贫困村创业致富带头人培训基地等，开展相应业务。学校始终以满足社会需求、关注弱势群体、促进教育公平为价值追求，坚持扎根八桂大地，充分发挥体系办学优势，面向基层、面向行业、面向社区、面向农村办学，广泛开展各类学历教育与非学历教育服务，积极助力广西全民终身学习的学习型社会建设和经济社会发展。

Under a system-based and tiered management system, Guangxi Open University receives operational guidance from the Open University of China and undertakes instructional guidance for city-level open universities and county-level open universities (learning centers) across the region. It has been approved to establish numerous key centers and bases, including the Guangxi Branch of The Seniors University of China, Guangxi Open University for the Seniors, Development and Research Center for Guangxi Community Education, Guangxi Center of National Digital Learning Resources Center, Guangxi Modern Distance Education Research Center, Guangxi Integrated Training Base for New Professional Farmers, Guangxi Continuing Education Base for Professionals, Guangxi Training Base for the Labor Force of Ecological Migrants, Guangxi Teacher Education Base, Guangxi Accounting Qualification Training and Examination Base of the Department of Finance, Autonomous Region-level Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute, Veterans Education College, and Nanning Training Base for Impoverished Village Entrepreneurship & Prosperity Pioneers. Guided by the values of meeting social needs, caring for disadvantaged groups, and promoting educational equity, this university is deeply rooted in Guangxi. Leveraging its systemic advantages, it serves grassroots organizations, industries, communities, and rural areas, offering a wide range of degree and non-degree education services. 广西信息职业技术学院以现代信息应用技术类专业为重点和特色，开设了导航与位置服务、物联网应用技术、智能产品开发与应用、智能控制技术、工业机器人技术、工业互联网技术、大数据技术、信息安全技术应用、软件技术、人工智能技术应用、室内艺术设计、影视多媒体技术、影视动画、数字媒体艺术设计、环境艺术设计、网络营销与直播电商、大数据与会计、跨境电子商务、健康管理等19个专业，以“现代信息应用技术+传统产业”为办学理念培养新兴行业人才，助力广西经济转型升级、数字广西建设和服务中国东盟区域的合作与发展。

Featured by key and distinctive majors in modern information application technology, Guangxi University of Information Engineering offers 19 majors including Navigation and Positioning Service, Internet of Things Application Technology, Intelligent Product Development and Application, Intelligent Control Technology, Industrial Robot Technology, Industrial Internet Technology, Big Data Technology, Information Security Technology Application, Software Technology, Artificial Intelligence Technology Application, Interior Art Design, Film and Television Multimedia Technology, Film and Television Animation, Digital Media Art Design, Environmental Art Design, Online Marketing and Live E-commerce, Big Data and Accounting, Cross-border E-commerce, and Health Management. 广西开放大学（广西信息职业技术学院）现有两个校区——东宝校区和五象校区，东宝校区位于南宁市青秀区东宝路1-1号，五象校区位于南宁市五象新区邕宁区步云路31号，两校区现有占地面积合计约10.68万平方米，现有校舍总建筑面积合计约12.35万平方米。现有在职教职工375人，其中，二级教授2人，具有高级职称121人，具有博士硕士学位者250人。举办开放教育、高等学历继续教育、高职教育、中专教育等各类学历教育，在籍学生10万余人，累计培养了各级各类人才50余万人，为全区各地特别是基层、行业输送了大批综合素质好、适应能力强、具有创新精神和实践能力的应用型人才。

Guangxi Open University (Guangxi University of Information Engineering) has two campuses: Dongbao Campus and Wuxiang Campus. Dongbao Campus is located at No.1-1 Dongbao Road, Qingxiu District, Nanning. Wuxiang Campus is situated at No.31 Buyun Road, Yongning District, Wuxiang New District, Nanning. The combined land area totals approximately 106,800 square meters, with a gross floor area of about 123,500 square meters. The university has 375 full-time faculty and staff members, including 2 second-grade Professors, 121 with senior professional titles, and 250 holding doctoral or master’s degrees. It offers various degree education programs such as open education, higher academic continuing education, higher vocational education, and secondary technical education. With a current student enrollment of over 100,000, it has cultivated more than 500,000 professionals at all levels, having delivered a large number of application-oriented talents with excellent comprehensive quality, strong adaptability, innovative spirit, and practical ability to all parts of the region, particularly to grassroots organizations and industries.
